🍎 Meet “Apple Hale”! 🍎

C.O. Hale had a special love for apples. He expanded the orchards at Hale Farm and became an expert at grafting, growing an incredible 114 varieties of apples!

Every year, C.O. loaded crates of apples into his spring buggy and headed to the Summit County Fair, where his prized apples earned him hundreds of blue ribbons and the nickname “Apple Hale.” 🍏

But C.O. didn’t keep all those apples to himself. On the final day of the fair, he loved sharing them with friends and neighbors. He even became known for traveling around the area to teach others about apple grafting and production.

A century later, the story of C.O.’s orchards is still part of Hale Farm’s history. 🍎🌳

Which apple would you have wanted to try from C.O.’s orchard? 🍏
