Five Levels of Science, Horses & Growth!
What an incredible summer of Science of Horses Camps at the Edgerton Explorit Center! From our beginning riders all the way through our Expert Level, campers progressed through five levels, building their horse knowledge and riding skills along the way.
But these camps are about so much more than learning about horses. Through working with these amazing animals, our campers also learned skills that will stay with them long after camp is over:
Confidence – trying new things and believing in themselves
Teamwork – helping and encouraging one another
Compassion – learning to understand, respect and care for animals
Leadership – taking responsibility and becoming positive role models
Science – discovering the biology, behavior, care and movement of horses through hands-on learning
Each level brought new challenges, new accomplishments and LOTS of time with the horses! We loved watching campers grow from level to level—becoming more confident, capable and independent along the way. The campers loved finishing each camp with a horse show and signing their name on our arena wall.
I I love sharing my passion for horses and science with these amazing kids! It has been so rewarding to watch them learn, grow, and challenge themselves. I know the lessons they’ve learned will stay with them and carry over into their everyday lives.
