Aurora’s first annual light art festival gets started in just one week. Tonight’s news clip features just some of the things happening over the Festival Weekend, October 11-13, including 60 immersive and interactive lighted art installations, 6 live performance spaces, roving performers, circus arts, and a 200 drone display, all transforming 4 square blocks of Aurora’s historic downtown on the Fox River.

Free and family-friendly, the festivities begin at 6pm each evening.

Take the Metra to Aurora to experience Lumenaura’s immersive train car installation art running all month on the BNSF line.

There's something special coming to Aurora next month. Starting Oct. 4, Lumenaura will take place in the heart of the city's downtown district. Jenn Byrne, the director of public art for the city, joined First at Four to talk more about it.
