(877)

Take an amazing journey into time and above it all as you ascend the 228 steps of the Absecon Lighthouse, one of the oldest lighthouses in the country. You'll see breathtaking views of the Atlantic City skyline and up top you'll come face-to-face with the original first-order Fresnel Lens, first lit in 1857. The lighthouse's recent multi-million dollar restoration also includes a stunning replica of the Lightkeeper's dwelling, an educational museum, charming gift shop, Fresnel Lens exhibit in the original Oil House and expansive grounds. Admission to climb the lighthouse tower is $10.00 for adults, $9.00 for seniors (65+), $6.00 for children (4-12.)

🌟The Absecon Lighthouse first order Fresnel lens gets a shine up for this weekend's NJ Lighthouse Challenge! 😍 Many thanks to all our AMAZING volunteers & staff who help keep our beacon in tip top shape. 👏

🤔 Did you know?
A Fresnel lens is made up of hundreds of pieces of specially cut glass, which intensifies the glow from the bulb, focusing rays of light that would normally scatter into a single, intense beam of light.

Learn this & much more with a visit to our museum & tower!
