Sandler Hudson Gallery opened in 1989 featuring the work of contemporary artists from the Southeastern region. Since that time the gallery has continued its commitment to exhibiting provocative work in all media, by emerging and established artists nationwide. Sandler Hudson also provides client services including placement, installation and cataloging of your collection
The gallery is located in the historic Westside district of Atlanta’s Midtown area. Sandler Hudson Gallery is owned by Atlanta natives, Robin Sandler and Debbie Hudson, who have been actively involved in Atlanta’s art community since 1982.

Two new paintings from Kit Reuther have arrived at the gallery and we are simply in love with them! These large-scale and colorful works command presence and must be seen.

These paintings and more are available and can be viewed at our gallery.

Kit Reuther is a self-taught American artist working across a variety of mediums in her hometown of Nashville, Tennessee. Reuther is represented by David Lusk Gallery (Memphis, Nashville) and Sandler Hudson Gallery (Atlanta).

One of many glass plate negatives featured in ‘A Brief Crack of Light’, an installation by Donna Mintz’ and on view as a part of our current exhibition, ‘Speak, Memory’.

Centered around a collection of antique glass negatives (c. 1880-1920) collected over a decade by the artist, the exhibition includes photography, painting and installation guided by her consideration of Nabokov’s “radiant and mobile medium,” that which he named the human experience of time and one’s own temporality within it.

Taking its title from Vladimir Nabokov’s celebrated memoir of the same name, Speak, Memory, reflects Mintz’s abiding interest in memory and time, specifically the accrual of Time’s moments and their passing and what remains in their aftermath.

Donna Mintz is a visual artist who writes about art and literature. Her painting and installation, often meditations on memory, time, and place, is collected internationally and found regionally in the permanent collections of such institutions as the High Museum of Art, the Museum of Contemporary Art of Georgia, and the Mobile Museum of Art. Her essays and reviews have appeared in the Sewanee Review, Sculpture magazine, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Swing, and the arts journals Burnaway.org and ArtsATL.org.

She holds an MFA from Sewanee’s School of Letters at the University of the South and recently published Stars at Noon, a memoir inspired by the writer James Agee (Mercer University Press, 2026).

This weekend we had the pleasure of opening Donna Mintz’ latest exhibition, ‘Speak, Memory’. With its large installation of glass plate negatives as well as the lustrous works that Donna has come to be known for, this is an exhibition you won’t want to miss. We would like to thank all of those who came out to join us for this opening and in celebrating Donna. The exhibition will be on view until November 14th and an artist talk will take place on Saturday November, 7th at 2pm.

Curated by Noah Reyes (Noah Reyes ), ‘A Measure Without’ positions negative space as a wellspring of possibility, an uncharted territory to be explored and considered. With a spectrum of works from representational figuration to nonrepresentational abstraction, the exhibition invokes negative space to define, dissolve, and reimagine the boundaries between figure and ground.
