Just a few years ago the view at the American Giants Museum was drastically different! In 2023 the museum was practically unknown and we had just opened. Visitors would stroll into town to see the hot dog man and look over at the lonely Snerd and say "Whats this!?" Today the daily visitors can measure into the hundreds and Atlanta IL has quickly become the Route 66 Capital for Muffler Men, and a place to see the different versions and learn of their fascinating history. If you want an experience like no other, we are open 7 days a week. To those who love the mother road and the giants, we thank you for stopping in, and making the effort all worth it!

The trailer is now out for John Paget's new documentary called "The Main Street of America" Joel Baker and many other contributors to Route 66 were interviewed in the making of the film. We are happy to see the Muffler Men of Route 66 making an appearance and contributing to the entire Route 66 experience! You can check out the trailer here.
