The Building for Kids will be closed on Labor Day (Monday, September 7). We are also returning to our regular operating hours of Tuesday - Sunday from 9am - 4pm and will be closed on Mondays moving forward. We hope to see you when we reopen on Tuesday, September 8!

Happy Member Appreciation Month! To celebrate our members this month, we're offering free parking throughout September. Members can enjoy up to 4 hours of free parking in the downtown Red or Yellow parking ramps. To take advantage of this benefit, simply bring your parking ticket to Welcome Center to get it validated.

Plus, we'll have other member celebrations throughout the month, including two free guests every visit, 20% off gift shop purchases, and access to an exclusive preview of our upcoming traveling exhibit.

We're getting ready to bring Launchpad Playful Preschool, powered by the Building for Kids, to life! Before we begin installing some of the furniture, toys, and soft play elements in our new space, we asked some of our BFK Jr. Explorers to test them out, and they gave their enthusiastic approval. We can't wait for our first Launchpad learners to begin exploring these toys this fall!

Launchpad is a unique care program focused on the power of open-ended, child-directed play. Our innovative approach embeds play into every part of a child’s day, helping kids build critical cognitive, emotional, social, physical, and creative skills in their early years.
