A first look back at the Street Art Bash!

Saturday night, TAG came to life in a whole new way. Surrounded by the completed murals, we celebrated with art, music, food, performances, and a Museum full of people who showed up in support of the arts.

Most importantly, the Street Art Bash was a fundraiser supporting the Trout Museum of Art and the exhibitions, education programs, artist opportunities, and creative experiences we bring to our community.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, supported the evening, and helped make TAG possible. We’re just getting started sharing photos from an incredible night!

Spenser Macleod is painting today, visiting all the way from Kennebunk, Maine! As the final artist to live paint for TAG, Spenser is putting the finishing touches on his mural before the exhibit officially launches with Saturday’s Street Art Bash.

We asked Spenser: What does street, graffiti, or public art mean to you?

“Graffiti was my introduction to art as something that could exist outside of galleries and traditional spaces. Coming from a skateboarding background, I was drawn to the creativity, independence, and sense of community surrounding these art forms, and that spirit of making work accessible and unexpected continues to influence my practice today.”

Stop in to see Spenser at work and catch the final days of TAG painting during regular museum hours. Then, celebrate the completed murals at the TAG's Street Art Bash this Sat, Aug 29, an immersive fundraiser supporting Museum exhibitions, education programs, and artist opportunities.
