Reserve Your Lantern Today for the rescheduled Spirits of 1776 Lantern Tour! THIS SATURDAY 10/3 at 7PM.

The spirits of David Humphreys and his mother Lady Sarah Riggs Humphreys are waiting to take you on a lantern lit stroll on the old mu*****ns trail. Who will you meet under the full moon? What will you learn about the people and events of the Valley that led us through the American Revolution?

Celebrate America 250 by hearing their stories.

Saturday, September 26th

This is a family friendly event. Please dress appropriately for the weather and wear your walking shoes!

Take a look at our beautiful new book about the history of photography in the towns of Derby, Ansonia, Seymour and Shelton. See images of rare photographs, stereoviews and glass albumin negatives from the late 1800s and early 1900s. A pair of 3D glasses is included with each copy for viewing the unique series of anaglyphs created just for the book. The book can be purchased in the David Humphreys House and Museum Gift Shop but hurry because a limited edition of only 25 copies were printed.

Join your tour guides “David Humphreys” and his mother “Lady Humphreys” on a Lantern Lit stroll of the old mu*****ns trail, used to bring supplies between Derby and New Haven. On the way you will meet the folks who carried Derby through the Revolutionary War period and hear their stories about life leading up to 1776. This is a family friendly event. Please dress appropriately for weather and walking trails.
