Amboy Depot Museum

Amboy Depot Museum On the National Register of Historic Places The Amboy Depot Museum is a two-story brick and limestone building with eight distinctive chimneys.

It has nineteen rooms filled with items specific to the Illinois Central Railroad and local history. The Freight House and Palmer 1- room School House are also open to view. Admission is free. Donation is very welcome. Open April - October.

CHRISTMAS WALK 2025! The Depot Museum is excited to be part of the Amboy Christmas Walk on December 13th! Please be sure to stop by and see us, there will be hot cider, candy and a craft for the children to make. Also, we are incredibly happy to announce that Eileen Quest will performing Christmas songs inside the depot. Looking forward to seeing you all on the 13th.
