🌍 Our visitors came from all over in July!

This month, Kent Plantation House welcomed 191 tourists representing multiple U.S. states and three different countries. Thank you for making local history part of your travels - we can't wait to welcome even more visitors in August!

They’re all part of the excitement leading up to the 15th Annual Le Tour de Bayou on Saturday, September 19, 2026!

As you’re out and about, keep an eye out for our decorated bikes around town - they’re a fun reminder that one of Central Louisiana’s favorite cycling events is just around the corner!

As America celebrates 250 years of independence, Kent Plantation House stands as a reminder of the history that followed soon after. Built between 1795 and 1800, the Kent House has witnessed more than 230 years of Louisiana history and remains one of Central Louisiana’s oldest treasures.

This Fourth of July, celebrate by honoring the history that shaped our community and our country. If you’re looking for a meaningful way to spend the holiday, we will be open today and would love to welcome you for a tour.

Day 4 of Jane in June was full of creativity and fun!🌹

Today, Ms. Jackie joined us to teach the girls the proper way to plant vincas in their pots, and each camper got to create their very own reticule — a small bag inspired by those used in Jane Austen’s era.

Later, Ms. Frances and Ms. Diane showed the girls how to make beautiful flower arrangements, and of course, we ended the day with a lovely tea party and some fun pictures together.

We can’t believe tomorrow is our last day — and our big tea party! We can’t wait to celebrate with everyone.
