Le Tour de Bayou is here! The 13th Annual Le Tour de Bayou bike ride will be held Saturday, September 21, 2024, at the Kent Plantation House. There are six bicycle events ranging from a family friendly 2-mile fun ride/walk to an ambitious 101-mile ride! So, grab a group of friends, your bike helmets, and come make some memories riding along the bayou.

UPDATE:
Thank you to all who expressed interest in becoming a member of the Kent House staff. We have; however, filled the position and are no longer accepting applications.

Kent Plantation House, the oldest standing structure in Central Louisiana, is currently accepting applications for a full time Administrative Assistant/Events Planner position. Minimum requirements for the position include good organizational and computer skills and experience in planning events. College degree is preferred. Duties include, but not limited to: planning, marketing and implementing all events whether fundraisers or part of Kent House's educational programs; assist with general office routines, answer phone, greet visitors, schedule meetings and purchase supplies and merchandise for both the Office and Gift Shop. This person will work closely with and assist other staff members when needed and reports to the Executive Director.

Colorfully decorated bikes seem to be popping up throughout the area, which only means one thing: Le Tour de Bayou is almost here! The 13th Annual bike ride will be held Saturday, September 21st at the Kent House. There are six bicycle events ranging from a family friendly 2-mile ride to an ambitious 101-mile ride.

We had two little volunteers in house today helping to decorate our special Le Tour de Bayou bikes. Have you seen one yet?
