Join us on Sunday, August 23, from 2:00–4:00 p.m. for an afternoon of live music with Silver Tones Flute Choir. Regular admission applies.

A word from The Silver Tones Flute Choir:
The group was formed in November 2022 to provide a new performance opportunity for flute players. The Silver Tones perform music from a variety of genres, including classical, patriotic, jazz, popular, and hymns. The music is performed on the standard or concert flute and some arrangements also feature the piccolo, alto flute, or bass flute. Music performed simultaneously on all four types of flutes produces a unique, rich sound.

The group is made up of as many as 20 flautists from Jefferson and Lewis counties and is led by co-founder Michele Bariteau. Silver Tones members come from diverse vocations. While about half are music teachers, that is not a prerequisite for participating in the group. There is also no age limit—we have members ranging from a sixth grader to retirees. The only requirement is a love of playing the flute.

We have performed in area churches, at The Strand in Watertown, and most recently at our third annual "Flutes on the 4th – Sackets Harbor" concert on the Historic Battlefield in Sackets Harbor. We will also be performing at The Strand on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. to benefit HarmonNNY, the instrument lending program. Tickets are available at the door or through The Strand's website.

As many of our high school and college team members prepare to return to school, we have a couple of openings to help us finish out the season. We're open daily through October 12, 2026, and are looking for dependable candidates with open availability to join our team.

UPDATE: We are pleased to announce that the Boldt Yacht House Shuttle is back in service and has resumed its normal schedule.

The Yacht House Shuttle departs Boldt Castle every 30 minutes at :15 and :45 past the hour.
