It is with extreme sadness that we note the passing of longtime Alexandria Township Historical Society member John Peach.

John passed away peacefully in the company of his wife Pat and his brother Tim on Monday morning the 30th of March. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him, and his contributions
to life on the River will remain with us for generations.

John was a lifelong River Rat growing up spending summers at Manhattan Island and he became a leader of many River activities, notably at Save The River, and for many years as
a Board member of ATHS. His longstanding leadership of our Building and Grounds committee kept preservation of the Cornwall Museum building foremost among our priorities.

John’s love of the River always showed through and his warmth made him a friend to all and a close friend to those who were fortunate enough to spend more time with him.

John is pictured below giving a talk for the ATHS at the Cornwall Brothers Museum.
