Berlin merkezli sanatçı Anke Eilergerhard, yoğun pigmentli poliorganosiloksandan (silikon) ürettiği heykellerinde kendine özgü, duyusal bir dil geliştirir. Sanatçının üretimlerinde, kek ve kremşanti motifi merkezde yer alırken Eilergerhard, gündelik bir öğeyi sanatsal bir simgeye dönüştürür. Mizah, yalınlık ve görsel güçle şekillenen işleri; ihtişam ile sadelik, incelik ile sertlik, kırılganlık ile dayanıklılık, kozmos ile kaos, gelenek ile yenilik, yüzey ile derinlik gibi zıtlıkları bir araya getiren bir anlatı inşa eder. Sanatçının “Sunny Yellow Balance” adlı eseri, üst üste dizilmiş kremamsı katmanların oluşturduğu heykelsi bir formdur. Hem tatlı bir pastayı andıran hem de soyut bir mimari forma dönüşen yapısı ve canlı sarı rengiyle dikkat çeken eser, izleyiciyi alışıldık malzemelerin ötesinde düşünmeye davet eder. Eserdeki katmanların tekrarları ise güçlü bir denge hissi yaratarak duyulara hitap eden bir deneyim sunar.

Berlin-based artist Anke Eilergerhard develops a unique, sensory language in her sculptures crafted from highly pigmented polyorganosiloxane (silicone). At the heart of her oeuvre is the motif of the cake and the cream topping, which she transforms from an everyday motif into an artistic symbol. With humor, conciseness, and visual power, her works create a narrative that unites seemingly incompatible elements, such as opulence and austerity, delicacy and hardness, fragility and resilience, cosmos and chaos, tradition and innovation, surface and depth. The artist’s work “Sunny Yellow Balance”, is a sculptural form composed of creamy layers. With its surface texture which resembles a sweet cake that simultaneously transitions into an abstract architectural form and its bright yellow hue, the work draws attention and invites viewers to think beyond conventional perspectives. The repetition of layers in the work also creates a strong sense of balance and offers a sensual experience.
