OMM Studio kapsamında, “Ferahfeza” sergisinde eserleri yer alan Antonio Cosentino ile bir aradayız. Berlin merkezli sanatçı Anke Eilergerhard, yoğun pigmentli poliorganosiloksandan (silikon) ürettiği heykellerinde kendine özgü, duyusal bir dil geliştirir. Sanatçının üretimlerinde, kek ve kremşanti motifi merkezde yer alırken Eilergerhard, gündelik bir öğeyi sanatsal bir simgeye dönüştürür. Mizah, yalınlık ve görsel güçle şekillenen işleri; ihtişam ile sadelik, incelik ile sertlik, kırılganlık ile dayanıklılık, kozmos ile kaos, gelenek ile yenilik, yüzey ile derinlik gibi zıtlıkları bir araya getiren bir anlatı inşa eder. Sanatçının “Sunny Yellow Balance” adlı eseri, üst üste dizilmiş kremamsı katmanların oluşturduğu heykelsi bir formdur. Hem tatlı bir pastayı andıran hem de soyut bir mimari forma dönüşen yapısı ve canlı sarı rengiyle dikkat çeken eser, izleyiciyi alışıldık malzemelerin ötesinde düşünmeye davet eder. Eserdeki katmanların tekrarları ise güçlü bir denge hissi yaratarak duyulara hitap eden bir deneyim sunar.

Berlin-based artist Anke Eilergerhard develops a unique, sensory language in her sculptures crafted from highly pigmented polyorganosiloxane (silicone). At the heart of her oeuvre is the motif of the cake and the cream topping, which she transforms from an everyday motif into an artistic symbol. With humor, conciseness, and visual power, her works create a narrative that unites seemingly incompatible elements, such as opulence and austerity, delicacy and hardness, fragility and resilience, cosmos and chaos, tradition and innovation, surface and depth. The artist’s work “Sunny Yellow Balance”, is a sculptural form composed of creamy layers. With its surface texture which resembles a sweet cake that simultaneously transitions into an abstract architectural form and its bright yellow hue, the work draws attention and invites viewers to think beyond conventional perspectives. The repetition of layers in the work also creates a strong sense of balance and offers a sensual experience.

Elif Uras Brown Üniversitesi ve Columbia Hukuk Fakültesi'nde okuduktan sonra School of Visual Arts’tan BFA (Güzel Sanatlar Lisans) ve Columbia Sanat Fakültesi’nden MFA (Güzel Sanatlar Yüksek Lisans) dereceleri aldı. Sanatçının üretimleri seramik, resim
ve desen üzerinden kadın temsili, emeği ve toplumsal rollerini sorgulayan katmanlı bir anlatı sunar. Sanatçı bu eserinde, zengin renk paleti ve detaylı kompozisyonu ile geleneksel Türk mutfağını merkeze alır. Sofra kültürü üzerinden toplumsal cinsiyet rollerine, kadın emeğine ve gündelik hayattaki görünmez işgücüne odaklanır. Bu eserde, kadın figürü, titizlikle yerleştirilmiş tabaklar ve çeşit çeşit yemekle çevrelenmiş bir mekânda resmedilmiştir. bu eserinde, modern figüratif anlatım ile tarihsel referansları bir araya getirerek toplumsal belleği yeniden şekillendirir.

Elif Uras’ın “Sultana'nın Sofrası” eseri Ferahfeza sergisi kapsamında OMM’da görülebilir 👁️

Elif Uras studied at Brown University and Columbia Law School before earning a BFA from the School of Visual Arts and an MFA from Columbia University’s School of the Arts. Her practice spans ceramics, painting, and drawing, weaving layered narratives that interrogate representations of women, labor, and social roles. In this work, draws on the traditions of Turkish cuisine, utilizing a rich palette and intricate composition to explore questions of gender, domestic labor, and the often-invisible work embedded in daily life. At the center of the scene, a female figure is surrounded by carefully arranged plates and an abundance of dishes. By merging modern figurative expression with historical references, Uras reshapes collective memory through the lens of cultural ritual and the presence of women within it.
