SIMON WEE • PRIORITIES • RECEPTIVITY • Acrylic on canvas • 61cm x 61cm • Corporate Collection

These two artworks are minimal, confident and very expressive. Although they are abstract, the brushstrokes carry a strong sense of movement and emotion.

PRIORITIES
This work feels more dynamic and contemplative. The strong diagonal stroke creates tension and a sense of decision or direction, while the orange circle becomes a beautiful focal point — almost like a goal, a guiding light, or the one thing that truly matters. The composition feels very intentional.

RECEPTIVITY
This one feels softer and more fluid. The sweeping, embracing movement gives a sense of openness, acceptance and flow. It feels almost like a continuous gesture — receiving, responding and moving forward without resistance. There is a beautiful sense of rhythm in the brushwork.

Together, these two artworks complement each other beautifully:
* PRIORITIES is about knowing what matters and choosing a direction, while
* RECEPTIVITY is about remaining open to what life brings along the way.
