VM Art Gallery is pleased to present We Left an Imprint, a solo exhibition by Qasim Bugti. The exhibition will open on Saturday, October 3, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and will continue until Saturday, October 31, 2026, with gallery hours from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm, Monday to Saturday.

Qasim Bugti’s practice is rooted in a deep and enduring connection with nature. Drawing from his background in miniature painting, Bugti uses delicate mark-making to form intricate natural structures that echo the interconnected systems through which nature exists and regenerates.

In his recent work, this relationship takes on an ecological urgency. His landscapes reflect the growing distance between human progress and the natural systems that sustain it, shaped by environmental instability and human intervention. Rather than depicting these concerns directly, Bugti allows them to surface through colour and abstraction, creating imagined landscapes where beauty exists alongside vulnerability.

At the heart of Bugti’s work lies a question of coexistence: if nature is the foundation of our existence, how can we continue to progress without losing our connection to it?

About the Artist:
Qasim Bugti is a contemporary visual artist, curator, and art educator from Balochistan, Pakistan. Born in 1984, he received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a specialisation in Miniature Painting from the National College of Arts (NCA), Lahore, in 2009. He is currently based in Karachi, where he maintains his studio practice. Qasim has presented ten solo exhibitions and participated in more than fifty group exhibitions nationally and internationally.

His artistic achievements include the Haji Shareef Prize (2011) from NCA and the National Youth Award in Painting and Calligraphy (2021). His large-scale works are held in the permanent collections of Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore, and the Prime Minister’s House, Islamabad.

VM Art Gallery presents a one-day beginner friendly workshop, Introduction to Taarkashi :Drawn Thread Work by Sana Naqvi.

This 3-hour workshop invites beginners to experience the meditative rhythm of Taarkashi. From threading a needle to mindfully drawing threads from an even-weave fabric, participants will be fully immersed in the slow process of revealing exquisite patterns within the grid of the cloth.

VM Art Gallery is pleased to present Colours Within, a solo exhibition by Kamran Khaskheli. The exhibition will open on Saturday, October 3, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and will continue until Saturday, October 31, 2026, with gallery hours from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm, Monday to Saturday.

Kamran Khaskheli’s richly layered paintings draw on the saturated sunsets and flora of his hometown, Badin, revealing hidden colours and forms through a process of carving and rediscovery. In this exhibition, his compositions emerge from memory and feeling and are discovered through the act of making. As he cuts into the accumulated layers, the work reveals itself to him as much as it does through him. This uncertainty gives the paintings their particular sense of innocence and playfulness, held in tension with the precision and control of his technique.

About the Artist:
Kamran Khaskheli (b. 1987, Talhar, Sindh) graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 2014 from the Centre of Excellence in Art and Design (CEAD), now known as Shaheed Allah Bux Soomro University of Art, Design and Heritage, Jamshoro. He is the recipient of ‘ArtFest Karachi Award 2022’ by Culture Department Govt. of Sindh along with National Museum Award 2019. Khaskheli has exhibited his works at VM Art Gallery, IVS Gallery, National Museum, Sindh Museum, Creative Gallery and ArtFest Karachi 2022.

What does anxiety look like if you could turn it into a creature?

VM Art Gallery presents Sculpt your anxiety monster by Fakeha Khatri. Join us for a free beginner-friendly clay workshop where you’ll explore your feelings through sculpture and create your own anxiety monster using clay. No prior sculpting experience is required, and guidance will be provided throughout the workshop.
