TDF MagnifiScience Centre (MSC) is Pakistan’s first contemporary and interactive science centre designed to provide hands-on learning experiences to everyone, from young to old. MSC’s informal learning space will allow you to engage with science in a fun way while observing, exploring, and developing an understanding of everyday scientific phenomena. MSC is spread over three floors with each floor

dedicated to an overarching science theme. This specially curated and designed infrastructure houses hundreds of permanent interactive science exhibits, experiments, demonstrations, and educational programmes.

Discover Nature’s Loofah on a Vine!

When left to mature and dry on the vine, the humble ridge gourd (Luffa acutangula), commonly known as turai, reveals one of nature’s best-kept secrets; a 100% natural loofah.

Grown right here at TDF’s MagnifiScience Centre’s Science Garden, this incredible plant is a reminder that some of the best sustainable solutions are already found in nature.

As the soft flesh dries away, a strong network of cellulose and lignin fibres is revealed inside. Peel it, remove the seeds, soak it in water, and your natural loofah is ready to use.
