Between departure and arrival lies a space of becoming.

Travelers brings together works that reflect on movement across landscapes, memories, identities, and emotional terrains. Installed as a constellation of journeys, the exhibition considers what it means to be in transit, not merely from one place to another, but through experiences of longing, labor, displacement, resilience, and transformation.

Within the gallery, fragments of cities, shifting horizons, remembered homes, and imagined destinations converge. Each work carries traces of passage, revealing how movement leaves its mark long after the journey ends.

Travelers is a reflection on belonging, impermanence, and the human desire to find connection amidst constant change.

A chapel of rebels.

For Rebel Hearts, Annatha Lilo transforms the Glass House into a luminous field of textile icons. Mounted on glass and illuminated by natural light, her embroidered and printed figures seem to float between reverence and rebellion.

Drawing from faith, femininity, and Filipino textile traditions, Lilo creates contemporary saints for the modern world, holy, human, adorned, and unapologetically powerful.

On view at Improv Art Gallery until July 25, 2026.
