Through portraits, figures, animals, and cityscapes, Eric transforms familiar subjects into deeply personal impressions, where texture, color, and gesture become ways of interpreting rather than simply depicting reality.

What we see is never simply what is before us. Every face, place, and passing moment is shaped by memory, emotion, and perspective long before it finds meaning.

In What I See, Eric Young presents a body of work that moves through portraits, figures, animals, and cityscapes—not as exact representations, but as personal impressions translated through paint, texture, color, and gesture. The exhibition offers an intimate introduction to the artist's practice, inviting viewers to look beyond appearances and into the quiet space where observation becomes interpretation.
