We were thrilled to welcome our graduating PUPians, proudly wearing their togas and celebrating the milestone they worked so hard to reach.

Taking your graduation photos and walking past the home of Apolinario Mabini is a true PUP rite of passage. As you prepare to step out of the university and into the world, carry with you the same sharp mind, unwavering principles, and patriotic spirit that Mabini embodied.

It was a packed week at the Mabini Shrine, and we loved every minute of it! From our PUP students and faculty dropping by between classes to university delegates attending the National Training on Crisis Management and Basic Intelligence, and participants celebrating the 41st Anniversary of the Pag-ibig sa Diyos Catholic Community, it was a privilege hosting all of you.

From academic routines to crucial safety trainings and spiritual milestones, seeing diverse groups connect at the historic home of Apolinario Mabini made this week truly special. Thank you for spending time with us.

The NHCP invites Filipinos, students, and history enthusiasts, to sign and support the passing of the Lakambini Bill, an act that aims to reinforce and emphasize our ✨𝒘𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒏 𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒐𝒆𝒔✨ in the teaching of Philippine History.

Through this bill, our future inheritors, the Filipino youth, will learn from the women who fought for independence, equality and inclusivity towards the building of a Filipino society where women’s voices can be heard, and stand on equal footing. This monumental bill coincides with the NHCP's designation of 2027 as the Year of Women in Philippine History.

𝐏𝐀𝐀𝐋𝐀𝐌, 𝐍𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐀𝐋 𝐀𝐑𝐓𝐈𝐒𝐓 𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐈𝐋 𝐁. 𝐌𝐎𝐉𝐀𝐑𝐄𝐒

The NHCP Apolinario Mabini Shrine Manila ties a black ribbon at the finial of the National Flag to mark the passing of Resil B. Mojares, National Artist for Literature.

In cases where the flag cannot be flown at half-mast, the NHCP recommends that black ribbon/s may instead be tied at the finial (in case of fixed flagstaffs) or at the two corners of the hoist (for Flags hung vertically) as a sign of mourning.

This is pursuant to Section 27 (k), Chapter I of the Implementing Rules and Regulations of Republic Act No. 8491 or the Flag and Heraldic Code of the Philippines. As a National Artist, he will be given a State Funeral at the Cebu Memorial Parks and Gardens today.

Normal operations and site visits will resume tomorrow, 11 September 2026.

The first week of September brought a vibrant wave of energy to the Mabini Shrine!

We were thrilled to welcome students from various colleges across PUP. Having our Iskolar ng Bayan gather at the historic home of Apolinario Mabini was easily the best way to kick off a brand-new month.
