You only have until this Sunday (June 28) to experience "Dance is My Life," a FREE exhibition celebrating Agnes Locsin, National Artist for Dance! 🩰

This exhibition takes you on a journey through her dance masterpieces created from 1987 to the present—spanning Amsterdam, Manila, the Visayas, and Davao City.

Step inside the gallery to explore her artistic roots at her mother’s Locsin Dance Workshop and see how her choreography took flight from her explorations of Filipino mythology, history, and culture.

The exhibition honors her incredible life, her pioneering dance vocabulary, and her "babies"—the dancers whose strength and grace bring her captivating stories to life. Welcome to Agnes Locsin's world!

On this day in 1974, the very first Ayala Museum building opened its doors to the public! 🏛️

To celebrate, we are looking back at the incredible mind behind its iconic design. Drop by our 2F lobby to check out our special anniversary display, "Leandro V. Locsin: Poet of Concrete."

Here is what you can discover inside:

✏️ Archival photos of the old museum's brutalist structure, facade, and original displays.

✏️ A close-up look at the museum's original architectural floor plans!

✏️ Anecdotes about Locsin’s friendship with artist Fernando Zóbel, who first hired a young Locsin as a draftsman for Ayala and Company.

This special display runs until June 28, 2026, and access is completely free for all museum ticketholders. Come trace the foundations of our history before it closes!

And just like that, it’s a wrap on “Mezcla: Interwoven Cultures and the Mantón de Manila” and “Proto-Saeta: Exploring Abstract Language”! Both exhibitions officially came to a close last Sunday, June 14.

A huge, heartfelt thank you goes out to our incredible curators, lenders, and the thousands of you who stepped into these worlds with us. Whether you tuned in for a curator’s talk, tried your hand at a workshop, or just enjoyed a quiet stroll through the galleries, thank you for making it all so memorable!

Heads up: our 3F changing gallery is taking a little breather and will be closed while we set up for our next big exhibition.

What an absolute full house for last Thursday’s Pamanang Pilipino lecture! 🩰

We were thrilled to welcome students, heritage enthusiasts, and a truly distinguished audience—including National Artists Alice Reyes (Dance) and Ramón Santos (Music)—for an unforgettable afternoon with National Artist for Dance, Agnes Locsin, as she shared her journey on "The Path to Neo-Ethnic Choreography."

Guests were treated to a deep dive into how Agnes Locsin developed her iconic movement philosophy. She traced her path from her early exposure to Filipino dance traditions and formal training right through to the artistic process behind her distinct movement language.

The audience enjoyed powerful live performances from the Locsin Dance Workshop followed by an insightful Q&A session with a distinguished panel of dancers who have closely collaborated with Locsin over the years.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and made this afternoon a beautiful celebration of Philippine dance and heritage!
