This History Month 2026, GBR Museum welcomes to the Province of Cavite one of the countryโs foremost and reputable historical society โ The Manila Studies Association, Inc.
On its 34th anniversary, the ๐ด๐๐๐๐๐ ๐บ๐๐๐
๐๐๐ ๐ช๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ finds a fitting locus in the Province of Cavite revisiting the historic ties that defined people and places across ages.
GBR Museum, one of the first private museums in Cavite, is honored to join the esteemed pool of historians, scholars, history and heritage advocates in presenting the 2026 Manila Studies Conference with the theme โ๐ด๐๐๐๐๐-๐ช๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ช๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐โ.
Our founder, the late Geronimo Berenguer de los Reyes, Jr. (GBR), was a staunch supporter and lover of history. Tracing his lineage to Crisanto de los Reyes, an industrialist who managed businesses in Manila and Cavite Puerto alongside his invaluable support to Filipino workers at the port. Crisanto was later implicated in the 1872 Cavite Mutiny, a turning point in Philippine History.
We invite our local historians, academic institutions, historical societies, tourism offices and civic organizations to join the 34th Manila Studies Conference this coming September 15 and 16, 2026 to be held at the NHCP Museo ni Emilio Aguinaldo in Kawit, Cavite.
