🇯🇵TOSHIKIKO ERA RETIRES AT 51

Japan’s oldest professional boxer, Toshihiko Era, has officially retired at 51, ending his career with a 29-6-1 record and 24 knockouts.

Era won several titles during his career, including the WBF World Flyweight Title, WBA Asia East Flyweight Title, WBF Asia Flyweight Title, and ABF titles in multiple weight divisions.

His retirement ceremony was held yesterday in Japan and was attended by Japanese boxing legend Yoko Gushiken.

The late GM Ramon Franco "Monnie" Velez in 2007 helped regroup practitioners and establish the World Original Teovel's Balintawak Arnis Group (WOTBAG) to ensure the authentic teachings of their lineage would survive globally. He personally headed the WOTBAG White Chapter. As the youngest son of the legendary Grandmaster Teofilo Velez, he dedicated his life to propagating, preserving, and innovating the close-range stick-fighting system developed in Cebu, Philippines. He passed away on January 10, 2025, at the age of 71.
