‘Obscura Natura (Magic Mushroom)’ 2026

In November we will take part in PAN Amsterdam for the second time, where we are presenting the group exhibition ‘Obscura Natura (Magic Mushroom)’. Once again, we are showcasing a combination of contemporary art and Art Nouveau ceramics and glass. The exhibition presents thought-provoking interpretations of nature in an alienating yet inspiring way.

We are offering exceptional masterpieces from the Art Nouveau period (1870–1920) by Loetz Witwe and St. Lukas Utrecht, as well as objects designed by Theo Colenbrander for RAM Arnhem. The contemporary artists we represent often explore themes similar to those of the ceramic designers in their depictions of nature, craftsmanship and technical innovation. We are exhibiting (partly new) works by, amongst others,

Still glowing from yesterday’s opening at NAP+!

We had such a great evening and received so many wonderful responses to installation. And, as the cherry on top, we’ve also been nominated for the NAP+ Award!

Needless to say, we’re absolutely thrilled. Our cheeks are still glowing from all the good vibes. ❤️‍🔥

And the weekend has only just begun! The sun is out, so jump on your bike, catch a train, hop in the car, whatever gets you there, and come visit NAP+.

We’re excited to announce the upcoming solo exhibition, ‘MANI MINI’ by at
NAP+

For the second time we will participate at the NAP+, a boutique contemporary art fair in Amsterdam. We will present a solo exhibition by Elsemarijn Bruys who will develop a site-specific installation especially for NAP+ that interacts with the architectural environment and, above all, with visitors.

Monumental versions of classics from Bruys’ work hang on the walls: PUFF and WARP and more spatial work. Not just any PUFF, but a bronze-cast and chrome-plated PUFF that Bruys has developed over the past few months! The whole forms a hall of mirrors of Bruys’ minimal interventions, which activate and fascinate visitors to NAP+ with maximum effect.

Heejsteck # will open the art season with the group exhibition
‘Late Summer Expressions’.
As a gallery, we are open to new ideas and are committed to continuous development. That is why we are presenting the work of five new artists at the gallery: Eady van Acker, Silvia B, Lukas Vonk, Nadie Borggreve and Kata Unger.
What these artists have in common is that they create work rooted in a deep-seated fascination with our surroundings and, in their own unique way, invite the viewer to embrace an alternative perspective. The unpredictable nature of late summer provides a fitting backdrop for diverse, thought-provoking reflections on the world around us.
