An invitation to return to nature through painting.
To walk into a landscape, pause, and give it our attention. To put screens and cameras aside for a while, and work with the simple, physical materials of painting and drawing.
A connection can begin with a colour, a stretch of shoreline, or the way light falls at a particular hour. It can also begin at dusk, as colours recede and the boundaries between earth, water and sky gradually disappear.
Through observation, we make room for a deeper relationship with our surroundings, and with ourselves. We give time to the living world we are part of.
Turquoise Gallery invites anyone curious about this experience, including those who have never painted before. There is no prescribed style or school to follow. Your own response to a place is a starting point.
With more than 40 years of landscape painting experience, artist Abeer El Khateb would love to support you on this journey, sharing his experience through walking, looking and painting in real places.
Message us if you would like to explore this together.
