Opgegroeid tussen continenten en culturen verweven de Escarteen Sisters hun Vlaamse, Spaanse, Mexicaanse en Belgische roots tot intieme composities voor stem, cello en altviool. Een unieke muzikale dialoog, gedragen door de bijzondere band tussen twee zussen die al van jongs af aan samen muziek maken.

‘Hang op, kom hangen!’ Na zes maanden samen leren, maken en dromen sluit Team V hun traject af met een finissage van ‘An Impossible Sound’ van Rory Pilgrim.

Team V nodigt je uit voor een middag hangen, een performance bekijken, elkaar ontmoeten, spelletjes spelen, snacken, maken, en gewoon zijn. ✨🍿🎨

Het programma start om 14:00 en duurt tot 17:00 uur. Om 15:00 is er een performance van de Escarteen Sisters❣️

Het programma is ontstaan uit het gedeelde verlangen van deze groep jongeren om te vertragen in een snelle wereld waar ze steeds van de ene ‘waardevolle’ ervaring naar de ander moeten gaan en social media steeds meer beslag legt op hun tijd.

Team V 2026 bestaat uit Manon Helsloot, Lizzy Mae van Leeuwen, Laura Malerba, Lotte ten Siethoff en Anne Fleur Swart. Het programma is tot stand gekomen onder begeleiding van Ploen Mevis (Educatie, Participatie en Publiek bij Vleeshal) en programmacoördinator Yusser al Obaidi.

TEAM V in de spotlight 💫 De komende tijd stellen we de jongeren van het Vleeshal-programma aan je voor.
 Deze week: Laura Malerba (20) We vroegen haar wat haar inspireert, wat ze graag zou willen veranderen in Zeeland.

Like Kaprow, I find inspiration in subtlety: in paying attention to the present moment, to the sounds, sensations, words, and feelings that shape everyday life. I’m inspired by noticing what is usually fleeting.

I already love seeing how much care is being put into building community through art here in Zeeland. I hope to see more accessible, unpretentious contemporary art — art that connects, educates, and helps us see the world around us a little more clearly.

Volunteering reminds me to slow down, be present with people, help out, and keep learning from the communities around me.”

Team V is een groep creatieve jongeren met een passie voor hedendaagse kunst, die een eigen programma organiseren rond de tentoonstellingen van Vleeshal.

GET YOUR TICKETS NOW🪉Join us on Saturday May 23 for ‘An Impossible Sound’, a live concert by Rory Pilgrim at Vleeshal 💚🩷 with Robyn Haddon, Chloe Peplow, Ellia Webb & Vocaal Ensemble Cantare

Developed over three years on the Isle of Portland (UK), Pilgrim’s forthcoming first feature film ‘pink & green’ was created in close collaboration with young people, exploring themes of law, cycles of harm, and the possibility of renewal. In connection with the exhibition in Middelburg, this performance opens a dialogue with young people in Zeeland, where similar social and geographic conditions resonate.

The concert combines live renditions of songs from ‘pink & green’, performed by Rory Pilgrim on harp with long-term collaborator Robyn Haddon, alongside the Zeeland-based choir Vocaal Ensemble Cantare and local musicians. Special arrangements reimagine the film’s score for Vleeshal’s unique acoustics.

A highlight of the program is the presence of two protagonists from the film, Chloe Peplow and Ellia Webb, who join as narrators and performers. Together, music and youth voices activate the exhibition in real time, imagining new futures by blending film, music and storytelling.
