Where does the s**t go if there is no outside
Opening zaterdag 19 september 16:00 uur
Aleš Zapletal is an artist living in the Czech Republic. His current topics are: river deltas, streams, water landscapes, floating material, trees, tree diagrams as images of the cosmos. From his Central European region, he has already undertaken several journeys with a canvas — called “cosmogram” — asking the central question: “what is the world and how to depict it?”
The question that has become the title of the exhibition connects his intuition with the wonder of observing water as it travels from its source through fields, cities and factories to the oceans, only to somehow return, mysteriously purified, to where it began.
