Galerie Nasty Alice is pleased to announce Off the Wall, a duo exhibition by Susan de Boer and Jan van den Berg. You are very welcome at the opening on Sunday 6 September 3 – 5 pm.

Jan van den Berg has spent a long time researching to develop a technique that makes it possible for him to create his ideal image. By combining painting with ink and colorful casein paint on transparent layers of paper on panel, he has found his ideal working method. Removing the apparent contradiction between drawing on paper and painting on canvas and combing these two techniques is one of the great achievements that characterize the work of Jan van den Berg.

Susan de Boer likes to paint with oil paint. She still enjoys the effects of this paint every time during the process. Each stroke dries exactly as it is painted. And since she paints wet-on-wet, this is very important. Slowly she applies layer after layer. We can almost touch the rest that is given to each canvas. Where De Boer observes and listens internally what might come next.

Galerie Nasty Alice is pleased to announce Off the Wall, a duo exhibition by Susan de Boer and Jan van den Berg.

The exhibition features the work by two artists who both paint using a distinctive, self-developed method in which material, form, and color are transformed into an image. The result is not a two-dimensional work, but an artwork that comes off the wall or seems to float on the canvas. More info: www.galerienastyalice.nl

What do you get when you have galleries, museums, and other art institutions collaborate with young talents? You get jump! During this fifth edition, fifteen young artists present their work in the De Cacaofabriek exhibition space.

In the group exhibition Onder en Over, the artists showcase work created during jump!Opening Thursday 27 August 5 pm. You can visit the exhibition until 11 October.

The participating artists are: Eleye Boerenkamps, Roman Nieuweboer, Wouter van der Giessen, S.R. Niekoop, Noortje de Brouwer, Raquel Vermunt, Renée van Oploo, Len Creutzburg, Lisa de Koning, Laura Bouman, Pjotr van Leeuwen, Lotte Pet, Tosja van Lieshout, Ian Skirvin and Fabrice Souvereyns.

jump! is a talent development program for young artists in Brabant and consists of Pennings Foundation, PARK, Galerie Nasty Alice, Museum Jan Cunen, Vincent van Goghhuis, Galerie Mieke van Schaijk, Make Eindhoven and De Cacaofabriek.
