[Rotteveel Vermeer - Residency] In October and November, artists Jochem Rotteveel and Thomas Vermeer will be taking part in a residency at EPazabu in Tokyo. Over the course of these two months, they will explore how traditional Japanese art forms, the use of colour and folding techniques can enrich their own artistic practice.

Inspired by Japanese visual culture, the artists are creating new work. They are exploring various residential neighbourhoods in Tokyo, searching for unusual colour combinations and visual inspiration. In addition, they are delving into the Japanese art of origami: from the materials and techniques used to the symbolism, rituals and spiritual and philosophical meanings associated with it.

The residency will conclude with an exhibition at the cultural centre, where the new work will be presented.

[Artist Updates] We are delighted to share that Nomin Zezegmaa will present her first solo exhibition in the UK.

From 10–24 October 2026, Nomin's new exhibition will be on view at St Cyprian's Church, London, as the inaugural Springboard exhibition by Bagri Foundation. Responding to the striking architecture of the church, the exhibition brings together a newly commissioned sound work, large-scale paintings, sculptures and a site-specific installation inspired by Urtiin Duu (a Mongolian Long Song that has been practiced for over 2,000 years), exploring the relationships between sound, architecture and ritual.

Congratulations to Nomin and to on the launch of this exciting new curatorial programme.

[Nex Exhibition] The opening of our new exhibition, Human Echo, was fantastic! It was warm, lively and received with great enthusiasm. Many thanks to everyone who came along!

[Opening expo] This coming Friday, 4 September, our new exhibition ‘Human Echo’ opens at Pop-up Galerie Bart in Nijmegen!

‘Human Echo’ brings together works by Lawrence James Bailey, Britte Koolen and Toni van Tiel, who each explore in their own way what it means to be human and what traces we leave behind.

Come along to our drinks reception and take the opportunity to meet the artists in person and have a chat with them. We look forward to raising a glass with you all to celebrate the new exhibition. The drinks are already ccold!
