What makes a place feel like home?

Two years after his debut solo exhibition Overture, Lee Wee Xian returns with Where We Belong, a deeply personal collection of watercolours that reflects on memory, familiarity, and the quiet moments that shape our sense of belonging.

From weathered shopfronts and forgotten alleyways to fleeting moments from everyday life, these paintings are more than scenes of places. They are fragments of memories, emotions, and stories that many of us carry within us.

A unique dialogue also unfolds throughout this exhibition, where Lee Wee Xian's watercolours are inspired by film photographs captured by his brother, Lee Wee Khuan. Together, they transform ordinary places into timeless narratives, reminding us that home is not always a destination—it is often a feeling.

What if a place most people rush through because of the smell, noise, and chaos could actually become something beautiful?

*Berapa Sekilo?* began with artist Ryzalman Misran’s fascination with the unnoticed poetry of the wet market. Through his hyper realistic watercolour paintings, he transforms familiar scenes of seafood, melting ice, handwritten price tags, and crowded market aisles into moments worth slowing down for.

In this video, Ryzalman shares the story behind the exhibition and how the idea of *Berapa Sekilo?* came to life. More than just documenting a market, the collection reflects on the rhythms of everyday life, labour, survival, and the beauty hidden in places we often overlook.

With the overwhelming response received so far, the exhibition will now be extended until 8 June 2026. If you have yet to experience it, this is your chance to step into a wet market in a completely unexpected way.

What he saw, was perhaps the details many of us have been missing in our everyday lives.
Through Berapa Sekilo? — Rhythm of The Wet Market, familiar pasar basah scenes are transformed into poetic hyperrealistic watercolours filled with memory, texture, and the quiet rhythm of everyday life.
