The Japanese Occupation of Penang left a deep scar on our history that we can never forget. From 1941 to 1945, the people of Penang lived in fear and uncertainty. Fortunately, World War II came to an end in 1945 following the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki by the Allied forces, an event that changed the course of world history.

We often wonder what might have happened if the war had continued and how we would have prepared ourselves for such circumstances. This is why learning history is so important. It allows us to understand the past, embrace our heritage, and become part of an interactive journey through history with us.

History reminds us of our shared humanity. History inspires us to believe in world peace.
