The calamity that holds us together is the tension of the choices we must make.
Inconsistency and a massive quantity of thoughts and opinions are pouring into us, trying to produce simultaneous fear and exaltation, despair and hope, anxiety and happiness as a matter to be consumed and reproduced. A cycle that seems without end.
This tale has emerged from caring intentions, as evil deeds come from good thoughts. The Kingdom exists temporarily, repeating itself as a virtual manifestation. It’s evaluating one’s choices – the appropriateness/suitableness of which usually cannot be considered presently, but rather when the result of the process has already taken place in physical reality.
Fedir Khorkov is a visual artist from Kyiv, Ukraine. He received a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts from the Department of Graphic Arts at Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute in 2022.
His artistic practice explores the visualisation of unconscious psychological states, emotions, and experiences that resist language. Working through painting and drawing, he investigates the limits of representation, focusing on forms of fear, horror, and psychological unease. His work reflects on traumatic experiences shaped by the non-acceptance of sexual identity, normative conceptions of mental health, psychological warfare (PSYOP), violence, and atrocity, examining how these forces imprint themselves on both individual and collective consciousness.
Alongside his studies at Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute (2018–2022), Fedir completed the Contemporary Art Course at Kyiv Academy of Media Arts (2019–2020) and studied Illustration at PROJECTOR Creative & Tech Online Institute (2017–2018).
