Shiva Lingam in Unakite – Madagascar.
Shiva Lingam carved from a block of Unakite from Madagascar, a metamorphic rock born from the harmonious union of three minerals: green epidote, pink feldspar, and quartz. The chromatic combination of intense greens and warm orange-pinks creates a vivid yet balanced contrast, almost reflecting the duality and union of opposites. Unakite is considered a stone of regeneration and balance, capable of fostering inner growth and connection with nature.
The Lingam, a sacred symbol in Hindu tradition, represents the creative force of Shiva and the vital energy that permeates the universe. Its oval and elongated form recalls the masculine principle in harmony with the feminine element, Shakti, symbolizing the cosmic union and the eternal cycle of birth, death, and rebirth. For centuries, Lingams have been used in temples and meditation practices as instruments of spiritual connection and inner awakening.
In this sculpture, the symbolism of the Lingam merges with the properties of Unakite: epidote, associated with renewal and healing, intertwines with pink feldspar, linked to love and emotional sensitivity, while quartz provides stability and energy. The result is a creation that is not only ornamental but a true bridge between spirituality, geology, and natural art. Every vein, every shade, and every interplay of colors tells an ancient dialogue between Earth and Spirit, making this Lingam a unique object, destined for those who seek beauty, meaning, and deep meditation.
