Riccardo Previdi and Flavio Favelli are part of "Endless Summer", artistic direction by Gioele Melandri and Alex Montanaro, at Magazzino del Sale, Cervia, until 1 July 2026.

Endless Summer is an exhibition inspired by summer as a source of creative inspiration, presenting a multifaceted and ever-changing image of the season, the result of collaboration between the diverse professionals invited to contribute to its structure.

Together with the sculptures in the first room there is a sound component built from recordings of circular saws, logging machines, and the thuds of falling trees intertwines with the buzzing of bees, wasps, and other pollinating insects. Gradually, the two sound ranges begin to merge. The organic noise of the insects takes on an aggressive, mechanical presence, while the sounds of the machines seem to lose part of their industrial rigidity. The listening produces a continuous perceptual uncertainty, in which nature and artifice cease to appear as opposites and instead begin to contaminate one another reciprocally.

Ritratti Irrilevanti by Jacopo Benassi at Cavallerizza - centro della fotografia italiana, Brescia, from June 17, 2026.

The exhibition features a series of large-format black-and-white portraits created by Jacopo Benassi in 2016. Faces, bodies, and figures from diverse backgrounds come together to form a heterogeneous humanity, observed through a lens that rejects any idealization or hierarchy among the subjects.
The “irrelevant portraits” referred to in the title challenge the very notion of relevance, restoring to each face the same expressive dignity and visual power.

James Bantone is part of group show “Communautés en résonance” at Société des Arts de Genève, on view until July 14.

«Communautés en résonance» explores the idea of community as a space for connection, resistance and collective creation. The exhibition brings together works from different generations, creating a dialogue between historical and contemporary practices. By linking past and present, the project highlights how artistic gestures, memories and forms of solidarity resonate across time. It explores how artists construct shared spaces and how these exchanges shape cultural and social identities.

In the plaster paintings, nature seems to slowly emerge from the surface, like an image surfacing through processes of layering and sedimentation. The drawings and watercolors, which for a long time inhabited Simeti’s working process in an implicit and preparatory way, are shown here for the first time as autonomous pictorial elements, appearing in the exhibition as an integral part of the construction of the works.

Elena Damiani is part of IN RELATION, curated by Antonia Alampi, at Spore Initiative, Berlin, on view until June 21.

In Relation charts relation as a shifting dynamic determined by a multiplicity of actors, ecologies and practices. In some works, relation is grounded in reciprocity: forest as living cosmology at the risk of erasure, a livelihood rooted in the ethics of taking only what is given. In others, relation becomes extractivist: land classified, catalogued, and managed. Always at the center, however, is the question of how all these moving parts that make up our more-than-human world are linked through a complex web of interdependencies: How do we relate?

Through the layering of images, materials, and personal memories, Simeti constructs an exhibition in which ecological reflection does not emerge through a direct representation of catastrophe, but rather through ambiguous, seductive, and deeply human forms. An emotional landscape in which the machine takes on the features of a body, sculpture those of a character, and where even violence continues to coexist with the stubborn desire to imagine a possibility of relationship between humans and nature.

Simon Dybbroe Møller, is part of “ 𝘐 𝘊𝘪𝘤𝘭𝘰𝘱𝘪 (𝘌𝘺𝘦, 𝘊𝘢𝘮𝘦𝘳𝘢, 𝘔𝘺𝘵𝘩)” at INCURVA, Trapani, on view until June 28, 2026.

In a short text titled ‘Art Through the Camera’s Eye’ (c.1971), Robert Smithson imagined the camera store as a setting for a horror film based on the Ancient Greek myth of the Cyclops, in which the “camera’s eye alludes to many abysses.” Taking up this analogy, I Ciclopi (Eye, Camera, Myth) brings together artworks that demonstrate forms of cyclopic vision by alluding to, repurposing, or modifying camera technologies, to consider how we see images through a one-eyed point of view.

In Simon Dybbroe Møller’s sculpture, News (2010) [11], a 16mm film is projected
onto the flat surface of a rear projection television screen. Dybbroe Møller filmed simplified, ad hoc versions of global news broadcasting logos that incorporated
the singular eye in their program’s title sequences and idents. Its soundtrack, a drunken rendition of CBS’ jingle, imbues the work with a foreboding sense
of an ancient chant.
