🇮🇹Amelia è una mostra che riunisce i contributi di Beatrice Alici (1992, San Donà di Piave), Lula Broglio (1993, Imperia), Anaïs Horn (Graz), Amalia Vekri (Atene), artiste che si dedicano alla rappresentazione del corpo femminile nelle sue molteplici declinazioni: un corpo sospeso tra il desiderio di autorappresentazione e riflessione sul sé e l’intrusione di uno sguardo altro che ne definisce parametri e caratteristiche.

🇬🇧Amelia is an exhibition bringing together the work of Beatrice Alici (1992, San Donà di Piave), Lula Broglio (1993, Imperia), Anaïs Horn (Graz), and Amalia Vekri (Athens). Their practices explore the representation of the female body in its many forms: a body suspended between the desire for self-representation and self-reflection, and the intrusion of an external gaze that defines its parameters and characteristics.

🇮🇹 La Shtriga prosciuga il sangue e la forza vitale di neonati e bambini durante la notte. Si muove attraverso l’oscurità delle montagne. Nel dipinto: un primo piano di un volto femminile, una mano alla bocca, l’atto del succhiare. Il gesto è insieme tenero e violento. Qualcosa viene sottratto, o offerto, o forse entrambe le cose.

🇬🇧The three 2026 paintings and the two drawings were made during a residency at Villa 31 in Tirana - formerly the residence of Albanian dictator Enver Hoxha, as part of the Art Explora program. The mountains were visible from the window. They kept appearing in the work: as landscape, as atmosphere, as the terrain where certain figures live - figures drawn from Albanian folklore, from vampire B-movies, from online pornographic archives. The flesh in all paintings yellow-green, slightly wrong, slightly luminous, slightly toxic.

Sucker!: The Shtriga drains blood and life force from infants and children at night. She moves through the same mountain darkness. In the painting: a close-up of a female head, a hand at the mouth, the act of sucking. The gesture is tender and violent at once. Something is being taken, or offered, or both.

“In questo portale di metallo, un uc***lo, che è anche una chiave, salva una ragazza e la trasporta attraverso il cielo.
Nel cielo, la luna e il sole li osservano. Una costellazione di stelle li accompagna, mentre i fiori si aprono, gli uccelli volano e i fiori diffondono il loro meraviglioso profumo.
Il ragno tesse in silenzio la sua trama. I pesci abbondano e nuotano.
Sulla montagna nasce un lago. Gli animali corrono selvaggi. L’armonia emerge e una stella gigante illumina la scena.” MP

🇮🇹Sceneggiatura: Josep Maynou & Pere Llobera, Fuori Collezzioni, 2026
Nel cuore di Milano, un lustrascarpe lavora ogni giorno davanti alle più prestigiose case di moda della città. Mentre modelle, stilisti e dirigenti sfilano intorno a lui, resta estraneo al linguaggio del lusso e ai suoi codici invisibili. Un gesto minimo, nato dalla routine e dalla stanchezza — una scarpa lucidata, l’altra no —
viene interpretato dal mondo della moda come una dichiarazione estetica radicale. Senza volerlo, il lustrascarpe diventa l’origine di una nuova tendenza che nessuno comprende davvero, ma che tutti seguono. Mentre il sistema si appropria del suo gesto,
l’intera città inizia a imitarlo, teorizzarlo e commercializzarlo, senza che nessuno si fermi a
chiedergli cosa significhi davvero. Lui, in silenzio, continua semplicemente a lavorare.

🇬🇧 Movie Script: Josep Maynou & Pere Llobera, Fuori Collezzioni, 2026
In the heart of Milan, a shoeshine man works every day in front of the city’s most prestigious fashion houses. While models, designers, and executives parade around him, he remains obvlious to the language of luxury and its invisible codes.
A minimal gesture, born of routine and fatigue—one shoe cleaned, the other not—is interpreted by the fashion world as a radical aesthetic statement.
Without intending to, the shoeshine man becomes the origin of a new trend that no one fully understands, yet everyone follows. As the system appropriates his gesture, the entire city begins to imitate, theorize, and commercialize it, without anyone stopping to ask him what it actually means. He, in silence, simply continues to work.

Three sculptures from Vasilis Papageorgiou’s Birds! series are on view until April 19 at Milan Natural History Museum as part of Ghost Track, a project born from the collaboration between the Civic Museums of the Municipality of Milan and MAC – Milano Art Community.

In this series, Papageorgiou draws on the sculptural language of coastal architecture and human intervention to examine the politics of tourism and its effects on both the
environment and the human body. The swans – symbols of hospitality and care – are crafted
from copper-plated towels, commonly used in hotels to welcome guests and create an inviting atmosphere.
