Let’s have a look at what definitely will catch your attention this May on Artboxy screens if you are visiting our partner gallery Le Chien d’Or in Quebec🌙

These pieces feel unreal, dreamlike, and at times even slightly uncomfortable. Surreal narratives, symbolic figures, and emotionally charged contemporary compositions transform imagination into striking visual experiences. And that’s exactly why your eyes may stop here.

Featured works:

Thomas Rawdon — AJ11POSTAL
Susanne Buch — Seabird and Hound
Kayla Guindon — Glow
Patty Stierli — Skyphone
Christian Bajon-Arnal — Danses de pluies

🖌️Meet Lindsay Declercq, our Artist of the Month for May!

Belgian artist Lindsay Declercq creates deeply reflective works that explore vulnerability, survival, and the quiet passage of time. Through expressive charcoal drawings and contemplative watercolors, her practice moves between seriousness and subtle humor, inviting viewers to pause, reflect, and reconnect with what truly matters.

Her featured work “Lacrimans Morior” captures this delicate balance with poetic restraint. Minimal yet emotionally charged, the piece speaks to fragility, endurance, and the silent beauty found within human experience. The small figure beneath the monumental form becomes a metaphor for resilience, carrying on, even in uncertainty.

After a period of illness, Lindsay returned to her artistic practice with renewed intensity, transforming drawing and painting into acts of reflection, healing, and presence. Today, her work resonates with sensitivity, compassion, and a profound attention to life’s quieter moments.
