It was a pleasure to welcome two members of the Sahapedia team to Planet Patna, who are currently working on “My City My Heritage” — an excellent initiative documenting and bringing the diverse histories, heritage and cultural stories of Indian cities to wider audiences.

The visit gave us an opportunity to revisit our shared interest in Patna’s layered heritage, archival histories and the many stories that make the city what it is. It was especially wonderful to connect again, having previously collaborated with Sahapedia on heritage initiatives in Patna.

We truly value this association and the meaningful work being done through My City My Heritage. We look forward to building on our previous collaboration and to many more such conversations, projects and collaborations in the future.

A warm and enriching visit, and a wonderful reminder of what can happen when institutions come together to tell the stories of our cities. ❤️

It was a pleasure to welcome Shri Mithilesh Mishra, IAS, former Collector-cum-District Magistrate of Lakhisarai and presently with the General Administration Department, Government of Bihar, to Planet Patna, along with his family.

The visit turned into a lovely afternoon of conversations, memories and shared conversations around Bihar, its history and its cultural heritage. We were also delighted to have Shri Raviraj Patel with us, making the interaction even more engaging and memorable.

A particularly special moment was the generous presentation of Lakhisarai: Pride of Bihar, a beautiful coffee-table book on the history, culture and heritage of Lakhisarai. Shri Mishra presented a copy to our Director Dr. Azfar Ahmad, Planet Patna with the hope that it would contribute to the cultural and intellectual resources of our library. We are delighted to place this wonderful volume in the Planet Patna Library, where we hope it will be read, explored and appreciated by our visitors and researchers.

We were truly overwhelmed by the warmth of the visit and the generosity extended to us. It was one of those conversations and encounters that make Planet Patna what it is — a space where people, memories, histories and ideas come together.

A memorable visit, and a lovely episode at Planet Patna. ❤️
