MATTER & MEANING | AN EVENING OF CONVERSATIONS

We are delighted to invite you to LATITUDE 28 for an evening of conversations around Between Dust and Distant Skies, Pradeep Thalawatta’s current exhibition.

As the exhibition draws to an end and we enter its closing week, we wanted to create a moment to pause, look more closely, and engage with the works through conversation. The evening will begin with a walkthrough of the exhibition led by curator Rahul Kumar and artist Megha Joshi, followed by an interactive conversation that will open up some of the ideas, materials and questions that sit within the exhibition.

MEET SAI KARNEKOTA | LATITUDE 28 is pleased to announce the representation of Sai Karnekota.

Born in Telangana and based in India, Karnekota is a visual artist and sculptor whose practice draws from the ritual traditions and cultural life of the region. Working across terracotta, drawing, installation and performance, he explores the body as a site where identity, beauty standards, personal memory and cultural experience intersect.

His work considers how our understanding of the self is shape; through the body, through inherited cultural forms, and through the worlds we grow up in.

Karnekota completed his MVA in Sculpture from the Faculty of Fine Arts, Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, in 2026, and his BFA in Sculpture from JNAFAU, Hyderabad, in 2023.

We look forward to sharing more of his practice with you.

There are many reasons to spend time with Pradeep Thalawatta’s Between Dust and Distant Skies.

From used sandpaper and tar to found objects and mediated images, Thalawatta works with materials that carry traces of use, place and time. Across the exhibition, images of conflict, childhood, memory and everyday life are layered, obscured and reworked, asking how distant events enter our private worlds and what remains with us after we encounter them.

Curated by Rahul Claystudio, the exhibition brings together a body of work that rewards close looking, where details emerge slowly and meaning is built through layers.

Neha Sahai’s Solitude recently appeared on the cover of Architectural Digest, photographed within Aditi Rao Hydari and Siddharth’s home.

The home, designed by AD100 designer Pavitra Rajaram, brings together the histories, instincts and everyday rhythms; with Solitude personally handpicked by Rajaram for the space.

Neha Sahai’s work, with its distinctive colour palette, recurring figures and quiet surrealism, creates a world that is deeply personal yet open to interpretation.

Earlier this year, LATITUDE 28 presented Sahai’s solo exhibition, The Friend That I Never Had, bringing together a new body of paintings exploring relation, intimacy and the many forms companionship can take.
