Since its inception the gallery has been working towards creating opportunities for young Indian artists to hone their talents and showcase their art. It is the gallery’s ongoing endeavor to act as a medium to increase awareness, understanding and appreciation of contemporary art forms among the general public through its gallery space, outreach programs, art residencies and travelling art shows. Critically acclaimed for its exhibition of Modern and Contemporary art and its pioneering educational and public events; the gallery has showcased different forms of art over the years and has had top curators and art historians curating its shows. With its wide and dynamic range of activities and initiatives to promote contemporary art, Gallery Ragini plays a distinctive role in the unrelenting growth of India as one of the world’s emerging contemporary art hub.

Conversation between Roobina Karode ( Roobina Karode ) and Kanchan Chander ( Kanchan Chander ), moderated by Kishore Singh ( Kishore Singh ), marked the opening of our show ‘The Grammar of the Self’ and also the launch of the the resulting publication at the Bikaner House, Delhi ( Bikaner House Delhi ).

The evening brought a fruitful insight into Kanchan’s works and journey, ranging from the spontaneity of her drawing and the endurance of her printmaking. It gave us a peep into Kanchan’s world which we invite you to see as the display has now moved to our gallery.

Snippets from the Conversation between Roobina Karode and Kanchan Chander, moderated by Kishore Singh on the Opening night of ‘The Grammar of the Self’, Prints and Drawings of Kanchan Chander, curated by Kishore Singh.

The conversation flew naturally, deepening into Kanchan’s journey as an artist and her life. It was a great insight into the show, with insightful anecdotes.

We were also happy to announce and launch our book as well after, ending with a fun and spontaneous moment with Kanchan and Kishore.

Tomorrow marks the last of the display at LTC Gallery, Bikaner House. The show then moves to our gallery in Lado Sarai, from 22nd September until 31st October 2026.
