Material Immaterial

Material Immaterial Exploring the bare beauty of materials. Our studio is built on the basic principle of exploring the bare beauty of materials.

We are essentially minimalist, our designs do not offer any utopian prescriptions, rather the approach has always been of what to leave out, rather than what to put in. This reduction process is what takes us through a mirror, emerging out on the other side to discover richness, like in the subtle differences between five shades of white and the sense of release that comes from allowing space to be unencumbered by visual distractions

Light has the ability to shape more than a room, it shapes how we experience it.

The Lumino-City Cube Lamp draws inspiration from architectural forms, casting a quiet glow that brings depth, warmth, and intention to every corner.

Designed to illuminate spaces, beautifully.

Behind every object is a process of looking, sketching, testing, and refining.

For us, ideas take shape through observation and material exploration until form, function, and interaction find their balance. This is the journey from an idea to an object.

Every celebration begins with a thoughtful gesture.

Designed to be unwrapped, shared, and enjoyed, Gambol is a gift that becomes part of the moments that matter most.

Inspired by architecture, crafted in concrete, and designed for everyday living.

Material Immaterial creates sculptural objects that blur the line between function and form, bringing thoughtful design into the spaces we call home.

Concrete has a language of its own.

Through texture, proportion, and form, Factory celebrates the material’s quiet strength by transforming a functional object into a sculptural presence.

Outdoors, concrete becomes part of the landscape.
Our planters are designed to anchor a space with quiet, sculptural forms while allowing nature to take centre stage.

Together, they create a dialogue between permanence and growth where every season brings a new expression. A balance of structure and life, made for spaces that evolve.

Stepwells are among India’s most remarkable architectural forms, where structure, light, and shadow come together in quiet harmony.

Inspired by the Helical Vav, our scaled model captures the geometry and atmosphere of this extraordinary stepwell, inviting you to experience its rhythm and changing play of light in miniature.

A celebration of an architectural legacy, reimagined through concrete.

Not every corner needs to be filled. Some simply need a single, intentional object.

Twirl is designed to bring quiet character to a space - adding form, texture, and presence without overwhelming its surroundings. It’s a reminder that the smallest interventions often have the greatest impact.

One is entered, the other is observed.

Inspired by the quiet strength of monumental architecture, The Factory reinterprets the language of industry at the scale of an object. Different in size, but united by the same principles of form, proportion, and material.
