Gyan Museum is a tribute to late Mr. Gyan Chand Dhaddha by his sons Suresh Dhaddha & Arun Dhaddha. The Saga of Jaipur's Gyan Museum orbits around the collection of - naturalist, collector and gemologist Late Mr. He was born in a traditional Jain family surrounded by its philosophy, visuals, and belief system inspired in him the love for arts, crafts, poetry and literature. en, his father presented him two objects with which began his childhood fascination with antiques leading him to become an avid collector, as he went on to amass a large collection of objects. He developed a discerning eye for beautiful things, which led him to become a visionary ahead of his time

The Museum is constructed to depict about 3000 years of cultural heritage. It holds a collection of exquisite antique jewelry, silver utensils, rare textiles, and the largest collection of Ho**ah mouth-pieces, miniature paintings, manuscripts, watches, anjd eye glasses are amazing ongst some of the things collected by him. Since his passing, Suresh Dhaddha and Arun Dhaddha have carried on adding to his collection and vision.

Krishna Idol Ornament

An exquisite example of devotional ornamentation, this piece was created to adorn the sacred image of Krishna, reflecting the enduring continuity of royal jewellery traditions within sacred contexts. It embodies the intimate relationship between worship, adornment, and ritual practice in the Indian aesthetic tradition.

Crafted in gold, the ornament is richly set with uncut diamonds using the traditional kundan technique, interspersed with vibrant rubies and centred around a striking emerald. Its intricate latticework and floral medallion draw from the refined visual language of courtly jewellery, thoughtfully adapted for divine embellishment.

On the occasion of International Museum Day 2026, Gyan Museum hosted a curated miniature painting workshop aligned with this year’s theme, “Museums Uniting a Divided World.”
The programme brought together students from the Indian Institute of Crafts and Design and Rajasthan School of Art for an immersive engagement with the traditional practice of miniature painting, guided by artist .
Through a guided gallery walkthrough, an artist-led demonstration, and a hands-on session, the workshop fostered meaningful dialogue between heritage, pedagogy, and contemporary perspectives.
