Vanita Gupta in her own words.

Her practice spans painting, sculpture, and multimedia installation — each medium informing the other through a shared investigation of how black structures form, space, and perception. Black functions not as absence, but as active presence. Absorbing light. Defining form. Shaping how a space is experienced.

Vanita shows at Close | Far — Lean In, Step Back.

Opening August 7, 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm.

On view August 8 – September 12, 11:30 am – 6:30 pm.

Aman Kumar Bavariya in his own words.

Based in Jabalpur, Aman builds his surfaces with repetitive, thread-like brush strokes, layers that hold fragmented figures, domestic spaces, and landscapes. Painting and weaving in conversation, drawn from ordinary moments and the quiet connection between people and places.

Memory. Labour. Belonging.

Aman shows at Close | Far — Lean In, Step Back.

Opening August 7, 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm.

On view August 8 – September 12, 11:30 am – 6:30 pm.

Kavita Nayar in her own words.

Her new series weaves together the quiet journey of life, birth, and rebirth — oil pastels over textured acrylic, with forms of flowers caught in the exact moment of dissolving into energy. A threshold where the physical and spiritual meet.

Kavita shows at Close | Far — Lean In, Step Back.

Opening August 7, 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm.

On view August 8 – September 12, 11:30 am – 6:30 pm.

A look back at Textile Unbound

Six artists who pushed textile beyond craft and into contemporary practice — Pragati Mathur, Tinkal Khatri, Chetnaa in collaboration with Prama by Pratima Pandey, Swati Kalsi, Yayati Godbole, and Heena Pari. Embroidery, weave, dye, and stitch as language.

As we near our first year, we revisit the shows that shaped Sameksha.

Monday to Saturday, 11:30 am – 6:30 pm.

Chetnaa on showing at Sameksha.

Geometric abstraction. Chetnaa’s practice is as restrained as it is quietly powerful. It was a privilege to have this work on these walls.

As Sameksha completes its first year, we are grateful for every artist who made this space what it is.

Thank you, Chetnaa.
