Introducing some of the artworks by Hava Rokhlin

Hava is no stranger to Wild Gallery — she has shown here before alongside Max Epstein in the Watchtower exhibition, and she teaches at Wild Kids. It's always a pleasure to have her back, this time as part of "Earth, Ashes, Dust" together with Olga Goltser.

In her works for this exhibition, Hava uses wooden lightboxes with two layers of photographs printed on transparent film. Each image is created through double exposure — one layer capturing a burned forest outside Jerusalem, where traces of new green life push through the ash and char. Dying and beginning, held in the same frame.

Earth, Ashes, Dust is on view until June 18. 📍 Wild Gallery, Jerusalem.

“My work is simple
I watch the light
I see the shapes
That splash in shades.”
— Olga Goltser

Olga Goltser was part of the very first exhibition that opened Wild Gallery, and we’re truly happy to share her work with you again.

Now, together with Hava Rokhlin, she takes part in the exhibition project “Earth, Ashes, Dust”, on view until June 18.

Olga Goltser is an animation artist, designer, and illustrator. A graduate of Bezalel Academy, she also holds an MA in Production and Cinema from Sapir College. She founded the Animation Department at Sapir Academic College, and her films have participated in festivals in Israel and internationally. Her practice focuses on sand and object animation, experimental animation, and the dialogue between image, light, and movement

Earth, Ashes, Dust | Exhibition Tour & Performance
Sunday, May 31, 20:00

The evening opens with a walkthrough alongside artists Hava Rokhlin and Olga Goltser, including new interventions in the space — a chance to see the exhibition in its expanded form and ask questions directly.
This is followed by a live audiovisual performance: two musicians and two VJs improvising simultaneously — sound and image in dialogue with the exhibition and with each other.

Participants:
Hava Rokhlin, Olga Goltser, Max Epstein, Ronit Sorek, Grigory Lomize, Maxim Dov, Nitay Kinkulkin aka Ne Tai, Anat Moss

"Earth, Ashes, Dust” exhibition by Hava Rokhlin & Olga Goltser is on display until June 18 at Wild Gallery, Jerusalem

The “Round Table” exhibition series has so far evolved as a trajectory through fundamental archetypes: human, home, fire. Hava Rochlin and Olga Goltser join this chain as they reconstruct cycles of life in series that deal with extinction, with the end of the story, in a way that allows for rebirth.
