⚠️ Please be aware, Nothe Fort will close at 3pm today.
We apologise for any inconvenience and we thank you for your understanding. We aim to be open as usual tomorrow for more Halloween fun, but if anything changes, we will post updates on social media and on our website.

As our 2026 season begins to draw to a close, there's still time to enjoy a visit to Nothe Fort before we close for winter maintenance.
Last day open this year: Sunday 1st November, 10am - 4pm.

But don't worry, the adventure isn't over yet! 🎃👻

Nothe Fort Garrison The Dorsetshire Regiment will be on display Sunday 11 October, with firing between 12pm - 3pm.

Don't miss the last Nothe Fort display of the Garrison's 2026 calendar!

🕵️‍♂️ NEW at Nothe Fort: Mini Explorers Mission Packs! 🔍

These look sure to be a big success with youngsters visiting Nothe Fort!

Young explorers can now borrow a Mission Pack from the Mouse Desk on arrival, packed with everything they need to explore the Fort, investigate their surroundings and report back on their discoveries.

Inside they’ll find:

🗺️ A Sensory Map for exploring with all five senses
🔭 Binoculars for spotting ships and taking in the views
🔎 A magnifying glass for finding mice and fossils in the Fort walls
🎧 Ear defenders for watching artillery displays and hunting whistling ghosts!

It’s a great way to turn a visit to the Fort into an adventure and encourage youngsters to discover some of the things they might otherwise miss.

Limited packs are available, and Nothe Fort would also love to hear feedback from families about what could be added to make the packs even better.

Recently our Level 3 Travel & Tourism students took a visit to the Nothe Fort

A big thanks to Isobel Campbell, Visitor Services Manager and Amanda Dukes, Deputy General Manager, who welcomed our students and shared their knowledge and experience about the fort and the success story on how the award-winning fort has developed and how it became Weymouth's number 2 attraction on Trip Advisor🌟
