The exhibition, which features the only accurate anatomical replica of Tutankhamun’s mummy in the world, was used in key sequences for the programme.

Among the most remarkable objects found in Tutankhamun’s tomb was a pair of daggers, found in the wrappings of Tutankhamun’s mummy. One made of meteoric iron and the other of hardened gold. The golden dagger, with the grip richly inlaid with glass and semi-precious stones and the sheath, also gold, inscribed with the King’s titles and a scene showing him as a victorious ruler. The dagger was not just a ceremonial artifact but is masterpiece of craftsmanship and symbolic power associated with Tutankhamun. A fine replica of this extraordinary artifact is now on display at the Tutankhamun Exhibition in Dorchester.
