Workshop: Mosaic | Wednesday 21st October | 6pm - 8pm | £30pp

We are so excited to welcome back Creative, Kim Searle from Darn It! Workshops. Kim will be delivering another Mosaic Workshop, as her previous workshops were so popular!

Create your own mosaic artwork!

In this workshop we will turn mosaic tiles, broken crockery and lots of other up-cycled pieces into your mosaic works of art.

You will be able to choose from a large choice of base shapes to work on and learn the best adhesives to use of each one.

At the end of the workshop, you’ll be given a bag of grout to take home to finish your pieces at a later date – a demo will be done to show you what to do.

What to expect on the day
All equipment and materials will be provided.
Tea/coffee will be available.

Workshop: Fused Glass - Garden Scene | Wednesday 16th September | 6pm - 7:30pm | £50pp

Unleash your inner crafter!

Join us for a fun and creative event where you can create your very own autumn themed tile using shaped glass pieces. This event is perfect for unleashing your artistic side and learning the art of glass fusion. Claire Myers of Cherry Tree Glass, an experienced glass fuser, will guide you through the process of selecting colourful glass pieces and arranging them together to create an autumn garden tile. No cutting or grinding involved!

The workshop includes all materials and refreshments and no previous experience is needed.

You will create one piece measuring 15 x 10cm. Following the session your work will be taken away to be fired off-site and a wooden stand added. You can collect the completed piece from Lakeside Creative Arts approximately a week later.

Maximum of 10 people per workshop and over 18's only please.

Workshop: Embellished and Stitched Hearts | Wednesday 2nd September | 6pm - 8pm | £30pp

In this colourful evening workshop, you will create your own hand stitched and embellished filled heart design on fabric. Embroidery artist Jessica Grady will show you how to start your design, choose the stitches and colours to fill in your shape, and also pass on her tips and tricks for creating outlines, adding bead and sequin details and finishing the design to create an appliqué patch or artwork.

Jessica will provide all materials including a treasure trove of varied threads, ribbons, wools and cords for adding texture and colour to your hand stitching.

This workshop is suitable for all abilities with no prior stitching experience necessary.

Maximum number of participants is 12.
