Clearly well-loved with multiple bald patches, this cat stuffed-toy has seen better days but signs of wear and tear aren't necessarily a bad thing - especially when it comes to toys - as it shows how much they must have been cherished. πŸ₯°πŸ§Έ

From a warm bowl of porridge in the morning, to scotch broth for lunch, with a cuppa and shortbread for a snack, to a rich plate of haggis, neeps and tatties with creamy wh**ky sauce for dinner. Scotland has a lot of good food but what is the most enjoyed by children? πŸ€”πŸ₯£πŸ½οΈπŸ₯”

When we made this up we had two immediate thoughts: tablet isn't as recognised as it should be and why is all our food beige?! πŸ˜‚

We've another recommendation for things to do in Strathpeffer... This one is Rogie Falls!
It's a popular nearby site for people who want a more dramatic natural stop than the village’s woodland paths. Fast water, forest paths, a suspension bridge and classic Highland scenery... what's not to love. It'll be particularly beautiful just now with all the autumnal colours! πŸ‚πŸ
If you're looking to make a day-trip out of visiting us, then there are plenty of natural and historic sites that you combine to make a fantastic itinerary. Check out the Walk Highlands website for more details about the trail.

For this , we have this brilliant black and white photograph from back in the day when the Old Station was still operating as a train station. πŸš‚
It opened on 3 June 1885, built for the Highland Railway to serve the spa town. It closed to passengers on 23 February 1946 and completely stopped operating as a railway on 26 March 1951.

We're under 20 miles away from Inverness city centre and only a 10 minute drive from Dingwall. πŸš—

We're taking part in Scottish Museums Federation campaign for to celebrate πŸ›οΈπŸ΄σ §σ ’σ ³σ £σ ΄σ ΏπŸ”€

We were challenged to pick a letter and match it to an object to showcase Scotland's amazing collections. We were ambitious and picked the elusive 'X' but luckily for us we had the perfect one in mind!

X being for... Xylophone! 🎢

A xylophone is a musical percussion instrument made of tuned wooden/metal bars that you strike with mallets to make a sound, with bars arranged from longest (lowest pitch) to shortest (highest pitch). In children's alphabets, 'X' is often represented with xylophone, whereas for adults, the example for 'X' is often x-ray. 🩻
