The Hose, superbly painted by Michael Murfin, must resonate with anyone feeling a need for rain this summer, but especially farmers, to whom this reel is dedicated. It bookends snippets of regular hikes from Back Bank to our village shop and post-office in Broad Gate.

Where would you like to cool down? You might stroll by a river under shady trees, or a fen river flowing slowly to sea as the sun goes down ... or get so close to the sea that you could feel the spray! Perhaps wear your bathing costume .. or nothing at all .... or just sit in the shade and eat ice-cream ....and of course stay hydrated!

It's been a while, and a lot of work, but with some invaluable help from Trevor Pearson, who gave advice, fixed the gable end render, the electrics and the plumbing and from his mate Frank, who went on the roof and fixed the chimneys, we are back open and welcoming visitors. Thanks also to our artists,family, friends and neighbours, for their support and encouragement!

Hello! It is nearly summer but our lovely Spring is still here and our reopening in our first space at Woodbine Cottage is about to happen! Come and see us and some exciting, inspiring paintings that suit our mood and lift the spirits.
