Thank you to everyone who came to our 'Schools Out for Summer' event at the library this morning. Thank you to Swale Libraries for allowing us to use their foyer area for this pop up event. Our volunteers were kept so busy chatting and sharing memories. We hope to do other events like this in future, so keep following for details.

Don't forget, you can find us at Sittingbourne library tomorrow morning. Come and find out about our new project, researching education in the local area. Chat to our volunteers about our work. We will be bringing out photos from our collection and hope you will come along and tell us your memories too. Thank you to Swale Libraries for this opportunity to get out into our community, while we are still searching for a permanent home. 😊

Don't forget, this Tuesday morning our volunteers will be at Sittingbourne Library, with our display of local school pictures and memorabilia from our archives. Come along with your old school photos and tell us your memories. Why not bring the children and grandchildren too, so they can see images of school days in the past. The event is FREE!

It's Sittingbourne Carnival on Sunday 30th August and our volunteers have been busy with a Carnival themed window display, at our temporary hub at Flowers by Beatrice in East Street. Why no pop along to have a look. Please support the carnival, the carnival association work extremely hard to put on this event each year and continue this long tradition for the town.

Next week, Tuesday 18th August, we will be at Sittingbourne library for our 'Schools out for Summer' event. Come along, tell us your memories about local school days and show us your old school photos. We will also have a display of local images and school memorabilia from our archives.

On Tuesday 18th August, between 10.00 - 12.00, we are holding a 'Schools Out for Summer' exhibition at Sittingbourne Library. We would love you to share your memories and old photos of your school days with us too. The event is free, so pop along and say hello. Our volunteers look forward to seeing you.
