It’s the last few days of our Zero to Hero / Endangered Animals Exhibition, so make sure you stop by and see it before it goes!
Our Zero to Hero project started as a creative recycling project, which was sponsored by Swale Borough Council in its drive to increase awareness and improve sustainability.
It developed into a community Mindful Monday project where we have worked with members of the community in need of a bit of supportive company and those wishing find a safe space to mix with others, make friends and develop their creative side.
We have sponsored 13 workshops and worked with two local schools, Milstead & Frinsted Primary and Milton Court Primary, in creating art out of waste materials.
We have been genuinely amazed at the ingenuity of our Mindful Monday group, who have been truly inspired and inspiring. They are:
Francesca Frawley Anthony Ransom Salley Relf Sara Tozer
Christine Borner Sharon Willshaw Lynn Bailey Anne Kelly
Marcia Barbier Tina Andrews Jay Collins Laura Kearin
Maggie Hsiao
Well done all of you, you have been brilliant!
We are hoping to raise more funds to continue our Mindful Monday concept in the near future.
Leading the project has been Julie Bradshaw-Drury and her daughter, Anna Piles. They, and other members of their family (4 generations) have been responsible for putting together the wonderful Endangered Animals part of the exhibition that you see here today.
Julie is a passionate supporter of caring for our planet, its wildlife and environment
And she and Anna have worked very hard to make the whole project a rewarding and fun project. Thank you to them both.
